Personal

I am 23 years old, and I am from the mountains of SouthWest Virginia. I am currently a senior at Old Dominion University pursuing my Bachelors of Science in IDS Leadership. In May of 2015, I graduated from Wytheville Community College with my Associates Degree in General Studies. I also work full time as a front desk associate at a Choice Hotel. When I am not attending classes or working, I enjoy outdoor activities. I also enjoy traveling to different places and spending time with my family, friends, and dog.

Previous Professional Experience

For the past five years, I have worked as a front desk associate at a Choice Hotel. I have gained a lot of knowledge about the hospitality industry working in a hotel setting and learning under my general manager. This job has benefitted me, because I enjoy working and communicating with different people every day. Also, I have gained many customer service and computer skills that I use every day at work and in my daily life.

Professional Interests

My career choices were blurry in the beginning as I knew I wanted to work with people every day. When I started working as a front desk associate, I admired my job immensely. I decided that hospitality was my path that I needed to follow. I enjoy meeting people from different places and communicating with them throughout each day at work. I definitely want to further my career in the hospitality industry if that may be managing or training within hotels or resorts.
